Home Assembly as a Business

Home Craft AssemblyAnother popular business opportunity advertised in home business magazines and on the internet is home assembly jobs. The ad typically claims that you can work from home assembling products that ranges from clothing to toys. The ad claims you will be paid a fixed rate for each product you produce. All you have to do is buy the materials, and they will always be there to purchase your finished work. Sounds good, doesn't it? Afterall, this opportunity allows you to work from the comfort of your own home, and gives you a guaranteed fixed amount of money per product.

In theory, you can set your own hours and make more money the more you work. In reality however, this opportunity is in the same league as envelope stuffing and name list compiling. Respond to an advertisement for one of these opportunities and you're only asking for someone to take your money.

The Truth About Home Assembly Jobs

There is no need to sugar coat it - this opportunity is a scam. Companies do need to hire individuals to assemble products like clothing and the pay is often based on piece work, but they are rarely home based. The ads for these opportunities seem blatently fraudulent, but there is always a way promoters of these unethical systems can get around it.

The ad promises you pay based on the amount of items you assemble. The catch is, you must buy the materials for these items directly from the company making the offer. This is how they make their money, as the material is often over-priced. Once you have purchased the materials, you've thrown away your money.

This is because the company has reserved the right to refuse to buy your products if they do not meet an arbitrary standard of quality. This means that no matter how professional your work is, the company has no intention of purchasing the goods and are legally not required to do so. Since there is no precise way to define this level of quality, they will always claim your work does not meet this standard.

As a result, individuals taken in by this scam are left with useless products that cannot be sold and over-priced materials. This so called opportunity has been around for a long time, and takes advantage of a specific group of people, most often those looking to work at home to be with their families. Don't even waste the time with these job offers. Avoid at all costs.
