Review of National Wholesale Company (NWC Wholesale)

Nation Wholesale Company is an example of a sub wholesaler. This company places ads in various home business opportunity magazines, offering access to thousands of brand name products at wholesale prices. This comes with a fee based membership, and includes access to catalogues, special websites and drop shipping is available. Displayed prominently in the ad is a guaranteed $5,000 line of credit which comes with membership regardless of past credit history. If you've seen these ads before, you've probably wondered if the claims are legit. The reality is, NWC is a sub wholesaler that does not always deliver.

The Truth about NWC Wholesale

As mentioned above, NWC is a sub wholesaler offering you access to thousands of brand name products (including electronics) at wholesale cost. However, in order to access these products you must first become a member for a fee of $150. This isn't a good sign, because real wholesalers do not charge a membership fee to purchase their products.

A look at the catalogues provided by NWC is reason for concern. They do offer a line of brand name electronics, but the prices are not very good. In order to be competitive these so called wholesale prices would only allow you to maintain a thin profit margin. The catalogues offered are in black and white and do not have a professional image, ruling out the possibility of using them as a marketing tool.

NWC also carries a line of gift related products. However, these are Specialty Merchandise Corporation products being resold at a higher price. Once again, your own profits are lowered because you're dealing with a sub wholesaler.

The $5000 Credit Line Guarantee

Inspite of the fact NWC is a sub wholesaler, you might think the credit offer would at least make the company worth a try. Think again. This so called guarantee is not what it seems. As a new member, you are entitled to purchase the resold SMC products with a 50% downpayment on merchandise up to $5,000. That's where the guarantee comes in, and this does not apply to electronics. As a member in good standing, you are eventually eligible for a line of credit on additional merchandise. However, this requires a credit check like any normal line of credit.

Complaints about NWC

The Better Business Bureau (among others) have received several complaints from customers about NWC. As such, the company is not in good standing with the BBB. Complaints range from being mislead by the companies advertising to frequently not recieving merchandise ordered. This is a serious problem, since a wholesaler must be able to deliver products on time or the retailer will lose customers. When you factor in this reputation with the fact that NWC has high prices, it would seem wise to avoid this company.

Finding a Good Wholesaler

NWC certainly isn't the only wholesaler out there offering brand name products. A search on Google will reveal hundreds of websites offering access to wholesale products, if you only pay them a fee first. However, not all will offer the same kind of prices, and some how a fairly bad reputation. One recommended source is Wholesale Marketer.
